8:30 am: The first stop is Diamond Head, with its unique shape and prominent location near the eastern edge of Waikiki at the heart of Oahu. Diamond Head Crater was formed millions of years ago, caused by a large volcanic steam explosion from underground magma interacting with groundwater.
9:10 am: Visit and take photos at Halona Blowhole, where the mouths of these ocean caves find the rushing waves to create grand displays of nature, in similar appearance to that of a blowhole.
9:30 am: At the easternmost point of the island of Oahu is Makapuu Point, a beautiful vantage point of the Windward shore accompanied with a bright lighthouse. This is a fantastic scenic stop suited for all of Hawaii’s guests.
9:55 am: Byodo-In Temple, is a place famous for its recreation of a traditional Buddhist temple in Japan. Adorning its lands, beautiful koi ponds, vast and long-established Japanese architecture, with wildlife all around.
11:00 am: Tropical Farms Macadamia Nuts is the premiere macadamia store/farm in Hawaii. They present visitors the opportunity to enjoy a variety of nutritious Macadamia nuts, delicious Kona coffee, and many other Hawaiian specialties.
11:25 am: Chinaman's Hat or Mokolii Island, is an offshore island shaped like a straw hat, resembling the kind worn by early Chinese immigrants. The off-shore island is one of Hawaii’s well-recognized landmarks and also serves as a conservatory spot for our birds.
12:10 pm: On the North Shore, Laie Point is an oceanic rock cliff formation which displays Oahu’s natural beauty being surrounded by the sea, creating a feeling of peace and freshness.
12:25 pm: Have lunch at Kahuku Shrimp. Along the North Shore, it is famous for their wide array of shrimp dishes. This local shrimp shack is a great sight after a half-day’s travels and is the perfect place for rest and relaxation.
1:10 pm: After lunch, we visit Kahuku’s local fruit stand, where you can enjoy fresh tropical fruits grown by Oahu’s local and organic farmers.
1:20 pm: North Shore Sunset Beach, this spot is completely different from the bustling and busy life of Waikiki beach. The North Shore is a stretch of coastline famous for its big waves and professional wave riding at both Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach.
2:00 pm: Try and see if your group gets the chance to watch the “honu” or green sea turtles on our Hawaii green sea turtle spotting. Visitors can visit whenever as long as they comply with Hawaii State Marine Animal Regulations.
3:00 pm: The last stop is Dole Plantation. The plantation comes as a symbol of Hawaii’s history as it was the premiere workplace for Hawaii’s old pineapple industry, but also as a great attraction for its now wide range of all things pineapple. Pineapple merch, pineapple ice cream, pineapple candy, you name it, Dole’s got it!
